an urban agriculture community hub
& veteran service center
Providing community, sustainability education, and healthy produce to the Detroit community and its Veterans.
We are a multi-faceted organization that provides our Veterans with sustainable urban farming training, continued community service fulfillment, nutritional education, and livable wage earning.
We are committed to providing our community with access to fresh, nutritious produce, quality education, and healthy living resources.
IN SERVICE OF VETERANS
Veterans face unique challenges that can be hard for society to understand. Green Boots seeks to provide opportunities to help them plant a seed, grow, and thrive.

IN SERVICE OF OUR COMMUNITY
Providing fresh, high quality produce grown using organic methods is the heart of our farm.
Our seasonal farm stand provides healthy food to our neighbors and community, and accepts EBT/SNAP, Senior ProjectFRESH, WIC ProjectFRESH, Double Up Food Bucks, cash, and card.
black urban growers (bugs) conference
We were happy to participate in the BUGS Conference as a SEED STARTER sponsor and stop on the farm tour.
snapping back to feed the community
When the USDA cut SNAP benefits, Greens Boots and other area organizations and farmers “SNAPPED BACK” to provide the community with free fresh produce and pantry items.
